Snowmachiner dies from head injuries

KALSKAG -- An Aniak man is dead after he suffered severe injuries in a snowmachine
accident this weekend, Alaska State Troopers said.
Floyd Nook, 32, died after the accident, which was reported to troopers at about
1 a.m. Sunday.
The accident took place about three miles upriver from Kalskag, troopers said. The
circumstances were not immediately available, although troopers said alcohol was
involved and neither Nook nor his passenger was wearing a helmet.
Nook received fatal head injuries and his passenger, Josephine Morgan, 35, of Aniak,
suffered injuries to her neck and leg, troopers said.
Morgan was flown to the Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corp. in Bethel after being treated
at the Kalskag clinic, troopers said.
